About Us

Sadbhawna Gramin Vikas Sansthan (SGVS) is a voluntary organization working on the issues of social and rural development. It was founded on 1st May 2003 (International Labour Day) by a group of people who drew inspiration from the Gandhian ideology. In June 2006 it was registered under Section 21 of Society Registration Act, 1860.
We believe in the development of women and children through their empowerment and protection against violence. We have implemented various programmes and activities on the issues of women empowerment, maternal and child health, primary education, strengthening and promoting agro-based livelihood in the participation of women. Currently we are working with women, children, and adolescent girls for their entitlements and rights, primary health care, and primary education.
We are well recognised by district administration and have been rewarded for our work on maternal and neonatal health. We have representation on government committees like District Health Committee, Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Disaster Management Committee, District Nutrition Committee and ASHA Mentoring Group.
